Wick & Tallow to be showcased in Top Drawer Spotted section

The 12th-14th January sees London's Earls Court host Top Drawer - the UK's first buying event of 2014 geared towards buyers from across the retail industry from small boutiques to large chains and department stores. Top Drawer has become one of the premier events in the retail buyers calendar, selecting only the best suppliers combining great design with commercial appeal for easy buying. Wick & Tallow is delighted to announce that we have been selected to take part in Spotted, a unique showcase at Top Drawer for never-before-seen designers curated by Charlotte Abrahams. Wick & Tallow Family & Friends Party

Wednesday 4th December saw friends and family of Wick & Tallow descend on the London showroom for an evening of candles, cupcakes and cocktails! It was a brilliant evening that allowed us to say thank you to everyone who has supported us in one way or another to reach our launch. Cocktails were mixed in house by our (nearly) resident Dane, Alex Rykkje, served in wax pouring jugs to great amusement, and cupcakes were supplied by the incredibly talented Ella Prichard of Sugarella Cakes, with icing to match each of the Wick & Tallow candles in the current range. Bold colours were definitely the theme of the night, particularly as the cocktails were bright pink and there were plenty of brightly coloured balloons to be found, some of which are still on the ceiling!

Twitter and Instagram certainly got a lot of attention as everyone wanted to snap their cupcakes with their candles before being unable to hold back any longer. One man we spoke to had already had five cupcakes before he had even managed to find a drink! It was really lovely to see so many familiar faces (and some new ones too!) and get such incredible feedback about our products. It may have been the first Wick & Tallow party but we very much doubt that it'll be the last. Perhaps it's time to start planning our summer already...
